UNISA Student Portal

Students and Staff at The University of South Africa (UNISA) can log in through the University’s Student Portal (www.unisa.ac.za) to apply online for e-learning 2023. Students can apply for and register for classes online through the UNISA Student Portal. In addition, you can also check the status of UNISA’s application and registration for 2023 using this tool.

Use the myUNISA Student Portal (myUnisa) to log in

The Student Portal allows you to do the following when logged in:

  • The University’s enrolment management system
  • My Life Unisa email ([email protected])
  • Academic records are available for viewing
  • Personal information can be changed
  • Announcements for students

MyUnisa Student Portal log-in

Follow the steps below to access myUNISA Student Portal:

  • Check out the home page of myUNISA at: http://my.unisa.ac.za/portal/
  • Please click the “Claim Unisa login” link to claim your UNISA login
  • In the provided space, enter your Student Number
  • The details of your personal information (either your ID number or your passport number) must be entered.
  • The message about guidelines should be read
  • You can acknowledge that you have read each statement by clicking the Acknowledge button
  • Your account password must be unique. The screen will display your passwords for myUnisa and myLife

Sign in to myLife Email

The following steps will guide you through accessing your mylife email account:

  • To access your UNISA email account, go to http://mylife.unisa.ac.za/mail
  • Please log in to myUNISA
  • Your student’s number must be entered
  • The password you provided above needs to be entered
  • Once you have clicked Login, you can log in

You can expect your myLife e-mail account to be created within 24 hours of claiming your Unisa login. Once your password is entered, you will be able to access your myLife email account.

Keep both accounts signed out. In order to protect your private information, do not just close the windows.
